Obituary

Clara Denyer DeFrancisco, a beacon of love, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023, at the age of 91, surrounded by her devoted family.

Born on February 8, 1932, in Bogota, Colombia, Clara was the third daughter of six children. A radiant light, she entered the world alongside her siblings Nancy and Olga. Among them, only Mario and Connie, affectionately known as Tita Connie Lievano Denyer, continue to share in the cherished memories of their beloved sister.

After graduating from high school in Colombia, Clara embarked on a journey of knowledge, attending Newton College of the Sacred Heart in Newton, Massachusetts, for one year. This experience marked the beginning of a lifetime of learning and cultural exchange that would shape Clara's compassionate worldview.

In 1957, Clara united in marriage with Edward Denyer, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other. Clara took immense pride in her four children: Clara Ines, Martha, Patricia, and Edward, considering them her greatest accomplishment.

As a Eucharistic Minister, she deepened her commitment to her spiritual community, sharing the sacraments with fellow parishioners at St. Mary Parish. Her dedication to helping others shone brightly through volunteering at the Franklin Senior Center, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many in her community.

Clara's zest for life manifested in her favorite color, pink, symbolizing vibrancy and warmth. She found joy in chocolate and candies, with roses capturing her heart as her favorite flower, symbolizing love and beauty. The romantic notes of her favorite music reflected Clara's sentimental and affectionate nature.

Mario and Connie, continue to share in the cherished memories of their beloved sister. The second youngest sibling, Arturo, was tragically lost in 2008, less than four months after the eldest sibling, Olga. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Franklin Food Pantry, a cause dear to Clara's heart.

Clara Denyer DeFrancisco's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty she so dearly appreciated in life.
