It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lorraine L. (Descheneaux) Brodeur, aged 89, on Monday November 6, 2023, after a brief illness surrounded by the people she loved. She was the wife of George A. Brodeur, married for 66 years prior to his death in 2019.
Lorraine was the former proprietor of George's Premium Cigars and the original "Candy Apple Lady", founding The Candy Apple in 1973 and is still operated today by her son and his wife.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah and her husband Brian Lefevre, her son Marc and his wife Michelle, and her daughters Lynn Medeiros and her husband Daniel Medeiros and Gail Mello. She was also the beloved grandmother of Justin Brodeur, Keith Lefevre, Desiree Heywood, Jamie Pacheco, Jessica Serpa, Erin Webb, and the late Traci Mello, and a great-grandmother to eight. All who knew Lorraine loved her for the beautiful, strong, kindhearted woman she was. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future and her burial will be private. We love you Mom, Godspeed.
