Doris E. Davison, 97

Doris E. (Whitehead) Davison, age 97, of Walpole, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of the late Lewis W. Davison, Sr., who died on August 9, 2013.
Born at Greenwood Lake in West Mansfield, MA on January 1, 1926, she was a loving daughter of the late James A. and Florence (Seller) Whitehead.
Doris grew up in West Mansfield, attended the John H. Berry School in West Mansfield, Mansfield Junior High and was a 1944 graduate of Mansfield High School. She had made her home in Walpole since 1965.
While a Senior in High School, she was employed in the office of the former Bay State Tap & Die Company in Mansfield. She retired from the Bay State Plant in 1991, following a forty-seven career with the company.
She was the stepmother of the late Lewis W. Davison, Jr. She is survived by Lewis’s children and grandchildren and was a special friend of the Lincoln family of Norfolk.
At Doris’s request, there will be no funeral services and burial will take place privately at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield. Visiting hours have been omitted.
