Jane E. Delorey
Retired Veterinary Technician

TEWKSBURY: Jane E. (Morse) Delorey, age 75, a resident of Tewksbury for 19 years, formerly of Wilmington and Newton, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of John B. Delorey, with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on August 24, 2023.

Born in Boston on July 27, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Morse and the late Ethel L. McArdle, and was raised in Newton by her foster parents, the late Warren and Charlotte Drew.

Jane attended Newton schools and graduated from Newton North High School in 1966.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for 27 years as a veterinary technician for the Reading Animal Clinic and the Rowley Animal Hospital.

Jane was an animal lover, she truly loved watching the birds and racoons that visited her yard, as well as the companionship of her cats and dog “Willow”.

While living in Wilmington, Jane volunteered her time as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother.

She enjoyed annual vacation trips to Dennis Port on the Cape and camping trips to Moose Head Lake in Maine.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Samantha J. Delorey, of Wilmington, Son-in-law, Bill Klindt, of Wilmington, the late Thomas Robie, Heidi A. Brooks and her husband Keith, of Tewksbury, and John W. Delorey and his wife Charisse, of Tewksbury: nine grandchildren, David Robie, Jack Klindt, Justin, Nicholas, Jessica and Noah Brooks, and Jocelyn, Makayla, and John Ryan Delorey: her brother in-law, Fred Delorey and his wife Karen, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Laetz and her late husband Edwin, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Monday, November 13th, from 5-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral services to be held on Tuesday, November 14th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton Centre, MA. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Champs Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 332, Marion, MA 02738.
