Obituary

On the morning of November 7, 2023, Donald J. Arcaro, 81, of Mansfield, MA formerly of
Franklin, Roslindale and Dedham, MA peacefully went to be with the Lord.

Donald, “Don”, was born in Boston on June 18, 1942, to Anthony Arcaro Sr., and Victoria
(Orlandi) Arcaro. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Russ), son Christian (Linda), fur baby
Duke, sisters Patricia Johnson, Marie Butler, Lorraine Ryan (William), brother John Arcaro
(Carol) and many nieces and nephews. Donald is also survived by his former wife, Joan Arcaro,
mother of their children, Kimberly and Christian. He is preceded in death by his brother
Anthony Arcaro Jr., sister Rita Blades and fur babies Tailo, Misha and Mi-Tai. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Donald enjoyed working for the Archdiocese of Boston for over twenty-five years at several different parishes. Donald, a skilled craftsman, assisted his father in building the family cottage in Wareham, MA on Spectacle Pond where every generation of the Arcaro family has gathered, creating many special memories.

Donald, a lover of American history, enjoyed years of camping trips to historical sights as well as
trips to New Hampshire and Vermont with his family, including his former long-time
companion, Christine Belanger. Maine held a special place in Donald’s heart, as he was a
lighthouse enthusiast, and loved visiting the seacoast.

Graveside services followed by burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree,
MA 02184 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider
