Bernice Henley Kennedy, 62, of Tifton passed away Monday, May 30, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A memorial service was held for Mrs. Kennedy at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2005, at 1425 North Tift Avenue, Apt. #18-B in Tifton with the Rev. Steve Moon officiating. Mrs. Kennedy was laid to rest at a later date.
Born August 1, 1942, in Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Kennedy was the daughter of the late Steve Henley and Ethel Raymond Henley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Kennedy. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by four sons, Randy Kennedy of Thomasville, Micheal Brooks of South Carolina, James Brooks and Joe Brooks, both of Florida; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruby and Charles Kirby of Savannah, Donna and Earnest Barnes of Tifton, Evelyn Vick of South Carolina, Sharon Williams of North Carolina and Karen Darby of Florida; one sister, Jean Henley of Alabama; 17 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
