Alma Rowe Kelly, 97, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at Tift Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Kelly was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
David Sparks, Brian Ahern, Joshua Romero, Hunter Ahern, Larry Daughtry and Wallace Barber, Jr. served as pallbearers.
Born January 4, 1908, in Alma, Mrs. Kelly was the daughter of the late Joe Rowe and Emma Cox Rowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elzie James Kelly, who passed away in 1997; one brother and three sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was the oldest member of Tift Avenue Church of God.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by two daughters, Mildred Croy of Tifton and Betty Hicks f Lavern, Alabama; four grandchildren and their spouses, Hebert and Patricia Clason, Diane and Ralph Harris, Wanda and David Sparks and Caludia and Steve Brooks; ten great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.
