Catello E. "Cat" Battinelli II, a lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November, 5, 2023 a Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 62 years of age.
Cat was born in Malden on February 24, 1961, a son of the late Catello E. Battinelli and Elizabeth "Marie" (Lavelle) Battinelli. He grew up in Somerville where he was educated throughout the Somerville Public School system. Cat was the Proprietor of Mr. B's Constable Service, acting as a Constable for the City of Somerville and surrounding communities. Cat was an avid Penn State Football fan, and cherished his family above all else.
Cat is the loving husband of 32 years to Mary F. (Lupo) Battinelli. He is the devoted father of Catello E. Battinelli III and his fiancé Jennifer DiPersio, and Gina M. Battinelli DVM and her boyfriend James Goodrich. He is the beloved brother of the late Josephine Marie Halbrick and her surviving husband Robert, and Ernest Joseph Battinelli and his surviving wife Debora. He is the dear uncle of Daniel Battinelli, Julia Battinelli, and the late Michael Halbrick. He was predeceased by his beloved dog Joepa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cat's visiting hours on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
