Obituary

Judith E. Jones, 81, of Leicester died Monday, November 6th at home with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her son, Robert Jones, Jr. and his wife, Paula of Worcester; three daughters, Donna Roberts of Spencer, Lisa Watkins and her husband, Todd of Oxford and Diane Jones and her partner, Michael Hedge of Webster; her sister, Janet Vertefeuille and her husband, Raymond of Millbury; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Russell and former husband, Robert B. Jones.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Paul T. and Jeanette (Messier) Russell. Judith had first worked as a nurse and later for Nu-England Services and then owned and operated JJ Cleaning Service and continued working for several select clients after retirement. She enjoyed line dancing with friends, country music, Indian Ranch and roller skating at the former Skylite Roller Skating Center and at Whalom Park with her family. She was known for tending to her indoor plants and gardening. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 12th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
