Manuel T. Cabral, Sr., 94, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Marjorie E. (Hillier) Cabral.
Mr. Cabral was born in Westport, son of the late Ernest and Lucy (Medeiros) Cabral and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Union Local 528 and also as a dairy and vegetable farmer. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Mr. Cabral and his wife enjoyed many trips to casinos and traveling across the United States seeing all the different farms along the way. They always had fun getting together with their family during the holidays, birthdays and weddings.
Survivors include his 2 sons: Thomas Cabral and his wife Wendy of PA and Manuel T. Cabral, Jr. and his wife Lori of Tiverton; 2 daughters: Kathleen Encarnacao and her husband Jack of New Bedford and Noreen Hart and her husband Steve of NH; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Catherine Cabral and Shane Hart and the brother of the late Lourdes Santos, Delphina Macedo, Alice Pereira and Edmond Cabral.
Services will be private.
