Obituary

Gerri (Orifice) Kroschewsky 64, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family by her side on Thursday November 2, 2023 following an illness. She was the wife to the late Gus Kroschewsky, Jr., who died in 2021.

She was a beloved mother to two boys Philip J. Kroschewsky and Jordan T. Kroschewsky. Born in Waltham, April 15, 1959, a daughter of the late Philip and Geraldine (Gatti) Orifice, she lived in Washington before moving back to Franklin in 2015.

She was raised and educated in Waltham, and graduated from Waltham High, she then attended Northeastern University where she met her late husband Gus J, Kroschewsky. At Northeastern Gerri studied psychology and would go on to use her bachelor’s to become a speech therapist at Fernald State school. There she would help those with communication disorders and teach sign language from 1982-1984. Afterwards she would move to Washington where she would become a manager for multiple advertising companies. She would then go on to retire in 2004 and go on to become a loving and caring mother.

Gerri was a loving Wife, Mother, Aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She also loved to help others and make them smile. She did this by volunteering at school events and did volunteer work with her two boys in the cub scouts. She would also make other smiles by crocheting. She would make everyone she met something special, and loved seeing their smiles as they received it. Gerri also loved going on camping trips with family, and on trips to Disney. She loved to bake with others, especially Christmas cookies and fudge.

She is survived by her two sons Philip J. Kroschewsky and Jordan T. Kroschewsky, and a brother Philip Orifice and his wife Leketha, 2 sisters, Donna Foley, Marie DiCarlo and her husband Flavio DiCarlo. Also surviving her are the many nieces and nephews that she loved and that loved her.

Services will be held privately with her family.
