Noel was a restaurateur extraordinaire. Coming from France, he always dreamed of owning his own restaurant, and did he ever. His first restaurant was BJ's Steak and Lobster in downtown Ventura. When he was done with that concept, he renamed it Barefoot Bistro and then to Cooper's Café. He spent many years in that downtown location and was an icon to many.
During the end of Copper's Café, he and his wife Jodie opened Capriccio Italian Restaurant in downtown Ventura. They worked side by side until he expanded and opened Capriccio of Oxnard. After four years Noel sold that location and came back to Ventura where he finished his career as a restaurateur with his wife. They sold Capaccio to retire and "Live the Good Life" as he always said.
The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to the Wellness Center of Oak View for the loving, kind, and compassionate care they gave Noel for the last nine months. Also, to Mission Hospice for the wonderful nurses and counselors, especially Helen and Dee. We don't know what we would have done without your support.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Paw Works of Camarillo.
