LACONIA ---- Herbert Lloyd Constant passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2023, just two weeks shy of his 94th birthday. He was born November 15th, 1929 to Edmond Constant and Fern (Baker) Constant in Laconia, NH.
Joe, as he was also known, married the love of his life, Pearl Boissonneault on July 31, 1948. Times were tough for the Constant family, but they provided a beautiful life for their three children, Thomas, David, Gary and Jo-Ann. Joe was known for his kind generous heart. He would always give a hand to anyone needing help. He loved his children and wife, and provided a loving, caring home.
Joe had a soft spot for animals, and at one time he and Pearl had 12 cats in their 6 room home. He lost his talented, loving son, David, on December 14, 2007, and Pearl went to her rest on December 21, 2016. Joe remained in their home until his passing.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Constant and his wife Betty, Gary Constant; daughter, Jo-Ann Tuttle and her husband Scott; daughter-in-law, Mary. He and Pearl had eight beautiful grandchildren, Sara and Kenneth, Bryan, Timothy and Carrie, Benjamin, Bethany and Krystal, and many great-grandchildren.
We are all grateful that the family could share his last day with him. We will miss our Dad terribly, but we are joyful that he and Mom are now together. It’s a sure bet that they are with David and all the other loved ones having a great time!
The family wishes to thank all the people at Concord Hospital with their care for Dad in his final hours with us.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
