Mary Stack, of Medford and Seabrook, NH., age 84 passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, while a resident of the Courtyard Nursing Facility, Medford. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Thelma and William Stack, her sister Dr. Elaine (Stack) Vande Hei, and her brother, William Stack, Jr. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Col. Richard Vande Hei and nephews, Artur and Marcin Vande Hei.
Mary was educated at Saint Joseph Catholic School, Medford and Cheverus Middle School, Malden. Mary was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1958. While there she had many friends and was the head cheerleader for the Medford Mustangs Football Team. Mary followed her High School experience, graduating from Chandler Business School, after which she served as an administrative assistant at Northeastern University for ten years. Following this Mary graduated from Boston State College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education and a Massachusetts teaching license.
Mary devoted her entire professional life educating youngsters at the Franklin and Swan Schools in Medford. Mary spent her summer months at the family cottage in Seabrook Beach, NH., where she enjoyed many friends and family.
Mary’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, November 9th from 9 to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
