Leatrice Joy Schramm, 90, of Groton passed away peacefully Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard T. Schramm, and her son, Richard T. Schramm Jr. "Frosty".
Lea is survived by her sister Dolly Wilcox of Ledyard, her children Sheila Spakoski and husband Frank of Groton, George Schramm and wife Daryl of Maine, Cynthia Curry and husband Dennis of Groton, Joey Schramm of Norwich, Anthony Schramm of North Stonington and Dwayne Schramm and wife Elizabeth of Stonington, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Lea enjoyed all types of crafting and watching her grandchildren, visiting with family and keeping in touch with friends.
She was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and travelled all over New England to watch the horse-pulling exhibitions.
Leatrice will be laid to rest at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic with a private service.
