Jeanne (Consolo) Spinale passed away peacefully at the Katzman Family Center on Saturday, November 4th. She was 87. Raised in Boston’s West End she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Constance (Costa) Consolo.
A native of the West End, Jeanne spent most of her life in Medford. A great wife, mother, sister and friend, she lit up a room by her presence. She loved to entertain family and friends, cooked great meals and made everyone feel welcome. Jeanne had a passion for Mickey Mouse and loved going to Walt Disney World in Florida.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony “Oakie” Spinale, Jeanne was a devoted mother to Debra Newman and her husband Scott of Melrose, Joseph DeVito of Florida and the late Peter DeVito. She was a loving grandmother to Michael and Ashley Newman. Jean was a dear sister to Marie Panzini, Bernice Tempesta, Barbara Bramante and the late Philip Consolo. She leaves many devoted nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jeanne’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 8th at 11:30 AM in Saint Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
