Obituary

HOLLIS- Richard “Rick” Patrick Sack III, age 68, passed away on Nov. 4, 2023.
He was born in Washington, DC, on May 4, 1955, a son of Richard Jr. and Marie Shirley (King) Sack.
Rick will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had going to amusement parks – especially riding roller coasters, four wheeling, and fishing; however, it was his love of family that was most important to him.
Over his working years he was employed at Marden’s, Sweetser, cared for his nephew – the late Dan Staples, and was an adult case manager who most recently worked for Catholic Charities.
Rick was a very proud member of the Schubenacadie Band of Indians in Canada and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Waterville.
He is predeceased by his mother- Marie Shirley (King) Sack; a grandson- Zachary Allan; and a niece- Angelica Ruest.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife- Rose (Rand) Sack of Hollis; father- Richard Sack Jr. of Waterville; children- Derrick Sack of Pittsfield and Victoria Sack of Hollis; sisters- Leiza Ruest of Waterville and Debbie Blanchard of Clinton; grandchildren- Zachary Beal, Keegan Sack, Marika Walls and Paeton Mitchell; and several other family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Notre Dame du Perpetual Secours Church, 116 Silver St., Waterville. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Fairfield Community Center, 61 Water St., Fairfield, ME.
