Shirley Gwinnett Griffin, 66, of Tifton passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Harborview Nursing Home in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Griffin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Oakey Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L Crumley will officiate.
Born February 25, 1957, in Tift County, Ms. Griffin was the daughter of the late Leroy Jackson Griffin and Alantha Irene Young Griffin. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jackson E. Griffin. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Griffin is survived by two brothers, David Griffin of Lake Wales, Florida and James Griffin of Tifton; two sisters, Sharon Griffin of Tifton and Doris Griffin of Florida; and one niece, Valerie Allen of Panama City, Florida.
