Peter M. Dauksevicz, 65, of Hanover, MA, passed away from heart failure on Thursday November 2, 2023. Born on January 24, 1958, in Whitman, MA, Peter was the son of the late Leo and Beverly Dauksevicz.
He was the loving husband to his beloved wife, Patti Dauksevicz, for 36 years. Peter is survived by his son Dan Dauksevicz, and companion, Ashley Maguire, of Whitman, daughter Jessica Tivnan and her husband, Trent, of Hingham, daughter Amy Dauksevicz, of Boston, and his cherished granddaughters, Natalie and Layla Tivnan.Peter was the brother of Terry Holland and husband Dick, Joan Butterfield and husband Ronnie, Paul Dauksevicz and wife Elise, Leo Dauksevicz and wife Kathy, Karen McDonald and husband Louie, David Daukszevicz and companion, Jenny, along with his late sister Jean Dauksevicz. Peter also leaves behind his father-in-law David McGough and wife Ellie, sister-in-law Kathy Benton, and husband Scott, brother-in-law David McGough, and wife Linda, and brother-in law Billy McGough. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Peter worked as a closet and shower door installer for over 40 years. He recently retired from MAP Insulation Co; he was a hard worker and had pride in what he did.
Peter loved sitting on the front porch to start and end his day, but in between was always on the go, working on a new house project or just “putting around” as his wife would say. Peter had a passion for the outdoors. He loved his bikes, from motorcycles, to dirt bikes, to his electric bike, he enjoyed them all. He spent his time going for walks in the woods with his brothers, and walking the trails behind his house, likely watching his son ride dirt bikes by his side. He had many dogs throughout his lifetime, and now he is reunited with his beloved white lab, Max. Peter loved music, NASCAR, nature, the beach, specifically Duxbury, OBX, Naples and Daytona. He was proud to not have had a single drink in almost 20 years. Most of all, he loved his family. He was most proud of his wife, children, and grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest. Peter never cared about materialistic things. He was a simple man, just content knowing his wife was by his side. Peter expressed his love for life and his family every single day; to Pete, every day was a gift. He will be missed beyond measure.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us to honor Peter’s life. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish in Hanover on Wednesday, November 8th at 9:00 AM.
