Obituary

ALTAVILLA- Of Lynnfield, formerly of Chelsea, June 27th, Clementine "Mindy" (Diglio) Altavilla. Devoted wife of the late Antonio "Tony" Altavilla. Beloved mother of Donna Altavilla-DeMarco and her husband Donald of Lynnfield and Janis Breslin and her husband George of Wilmington. Dear and loving sister of Vicky Carrabes, Frances Diglio and Marie Romano all of Revere and the late Anthony Diglio. Cherished grandmother of Kristen and Ryan Breslin both of Wilmington. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA, on Friday morning, June 30th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 601 Broadway, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Expressions of sympathy in "Mindy's" name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

Born in Revere and a resident there until her marriage to her husband Tony, that lasted for 50 years, Mindy, at 86 years of age, passed away at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.

Living in Lynnfield for the last 15 years, Mindy worked for over 10 years for the New England Telephone Company and for over 15 years as the clerk, bookeeper and receptionist for Bloombergs Furniture which was located on Broadway and Congress Avenue.
