Obituary

Bradford Curtis Babb, 80, was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who left this world on October 30, 2023.

His serious medical issues in recent years showcased his courage while facing great life challenges. Despite being in excruciating pain, Brad remained a hero. He seldom complained. He was always more interested in others. He leaves behind his wife and true love of 58 years, Betsy, his children Curtis and Kim Ralph and their families. Which include being a PaPa to his cherished 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Brad was a proud graduate of Nichols College where he was a 4 year all-star soccer player and inducted into the Nichols Hall of Fame. After graduating he enlisted in the army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Brad and Betsy then made their home for the next 29 years in North Attleboro, where they raised their family. In 1999 they relocated to Harwichport where their next journey began.

Brad was a tireless professional in the home furnishing industry. His customers became his friends and his business flourished. He took great pride in his appearance and attire. "He was quick with a joke or to light up your smoke." He was easy to talk to. He was a very competitive tennis player, a natural on the court and after. He would offer advice for your game if you wanted or pour you the best martini of your life...He would provide both if you asked. He had a love for music, cars, painting, traveling, boating, tennis, golf and most of all spending time with his family he adored.

The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Brad. He loved a quiet evening with friends, a dinner party, or the buzz of Allen Harbor Yacht Club. Brad's smile and wit ingratiate him to all. He had the uncanny ability to find happiness in the moments of each day. His happy hello will be remembered and missed.

Brad will be honored at a Celebration of Life in the spring of 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harwich Fire Association or Pilgrim Congregational Church.
