Obituary

Ian Haley Mac Master, 34, died Monday, October 30, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center.

Ian was born on April 30th 1989 in Springfield, MA to Carolann and Craig Mac Master. Ian graduated from Ludlow High School in Ludlow, Ma where he excelled in Music. During high school Ian worked at Big Y and work many jobs after that leaving his mark where he worked, most recently at the University of Amherst. Ian loved helping people, and would help even if it meant doing without. He enjoyed going for long hikes and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a Black Belt in Karate and so enjoyed teaching youngest the art. He sang at Windows to the World in the World Trade Center in September of 2001. He had a smile that would light room up, and a voice of song that made people stop and listen.

Ian Haley is survived by his mother Carolann (De Mars) and her partner Eric Gray, and his father Craig, his brother Cory Alan and his fiancé Marilyn Myers all of Ludlow. His God Parents Beverly and Donald Chartier also of Ludlow. His Aunt Judy, Deb, Nancy, and Thelma and Uncles Michael, Kim, and Keith. His surgent Grandparents Fern and Paul Garceau of Springfield, MA.

Ian is predeceased by his Maternal grandparents Kathleen Ann and Warren De Mars, and Paternal Wenonah and Archie Mac Master. His beloved Uncle Daniel De Mars. And his beloved cat Mr. Thunder Buttons Walter For Short.

Ian’s mom would like to thank Galinda Berezkina at Country Bank for loving Ian and helping him through the years.

A memorial service for Ian will be held on Saturday, November 11th, 11am at St. Paul’s Church 123 Hubbard St in Ludlow, there is also another service that will be held on Sunday, November 12th at 2pm at Union Church in Ludlow. And a private service will be held in Stockbridge Ma on Saturday, November 18th, at 11am please email Carolann [email protected] for information on this service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Carolann Mac Master 142 Michael Street Ludlow Mass 01056. To assist with Ian's final expenses donations over this amount will be used to establish a memorial book fund at his mothers Library.
