Anne Marie ‘Rita’ (Marcotte) (Vezina) Rolling, 93, former Lowell business woman, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 after a long period of declining health with her family by her side. She was the widow of the late Francis A. ‘Micky’ Rolling who passed away in 2002. She was also the widow of the late Paul E. Vezina.
She was born in Lawrence on November 11, 1929, one of five children of the late Alfonse and Meralda (Gelinus) Marcotte, and was raised and educated in the Dracut area.
Anne Marie was a mother of six and raised her family in the Couples Square and Highlands area of Lowell. in her younger days worked at the meat department at DeMoulas Market, now Market Basket at the Sunrise Plaza on Bridge Street in Lowell and later on Route 110 Plaza in Chelmsford Store. Later she went on to found Broadway Beauty Hairstylist Shop on the corner of Walker Street and Broadway Road in Lowell, which she operated for many years. Most recently she worked at Datacube for several years in Burlington until her retirement.
She retired to Bradenton, Florida in 1992, where she was an avid golfer, and organized and managed several golf leagues. She and her late husband were also avid motorhome travelers and campers, and traveled extensively across North America, and made new friends wherever they stopped.
Anne Marie leaves four children, Paula D. Vezina of Kingston, NH, Diane Hand and her husband, Steve of Littleton, MA, Ronald A. Vezina and his wife, Pam of Moultonboro, NH, and Danny Vezina of Taunton, MA; daughters-in-law, Cindy Vezina of OH, and Susan Vezina of NH; and three step children, Michael and Ann Marie Rolling of Pelham, NH, Linda Vezina of ME, Deborah Norris of TX;
She is also survived by her sisters, Doraine Moorar and her husband, Jon of SC, and Stella Bickford of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Anna Marcotte of AZ; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her sons, Raymond Vezina in 2019 and Gerald Vezina in 2009; and her brothers, Frank Marcotte and William Marcotte.

On Friday, November 10, 2023 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 4-7 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061.
Her funeral will begin on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William of York Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury.
Burial will take place privately in the Tewksbury Cemetery at a later date.
