Wilma Gladys Griner Archer, 81, of Tifton passed away Monday, May 2, 2005, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Calvin Bobo and the Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Mrs. Archer was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Brian Haynes, Chad Haynes, Michael Abney, Nicholas Abney, Jon Garrett, Brad Mosher and Greg Cary served as pallbearers.
Born August 23, 1923, in Berrien County, Mrs. Archer was the daughter of the late Samuel Griner and Nancy Jane McMillan Griner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Winfield Archer; two sisters; and two grandchildren. She was a homemaker, and she was a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Archer is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne W. and Linda Archer of Bunell, Florida; three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Guy Haynes, Jan and Billy Abney and Vicky and Lamar Gordy, all of Tifton; one brother, Eston Griner of Tifton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
