Elizabeth Claire Catrabone passed away Monday October 30, 2023 at Tranquility Hopsice in Marietta, Ga.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, November 13, 2023, at Central United Methodist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary.
Claire was born in Ocilla, Ga on November 20, 1939 to Mertie and LeRoy Williams. Much of her childhood and young adult years were spent in Savannah, Ga where she met her husband Donald Robert Catrabone. After residing in Erie, PA, Claire, Don and their children moved to Fitzgerald, GA. Claire worked for The First State Bank until she opened her first dance studio. She taught for 29 years and had studios in Fitzgerald, Cordele, Hawkinsville, Eastman, Rochelle, and Ashburn. In 2000 Claire moved permanently to Marietta, GA where she obtained her Realtors license and kept it active until her passing. She was an active member of Mt. Bethel Church in Marietta, GA where she enjoyed family, friends and fellowship.
Claire is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy Williams and Mertie Watson Williams, her husband Donald Robert Catrabone, her son Donald Robert Catrabone Jr., and her grandson Christian Catrabone.
Survivors include her sister Margaret Williams Smith of Cordova, TN, daughter Tina Catrabone Guthrie and husband Tracy of Marietta, GA, grandchildren Bailey Catrabone Brinson and husband Braxton of Statesboro, GA, Jake Guthrie and wife Kelly of Canton, GA, Lily Guthrie of Marietta, GA and daughter in law Lisa Smallwood Catrabone of Statesboro, GA.
