Obituary

Lauren Barry passed away on Monday October 30, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center. She was 34 years old.

Born on April 5, 1989 in Stoughton MA, Lauren was pre-deceased by her daughter Skyla Benoit. She leaves behind her son Christopher Benoit Jr., her mother Patrice Barry of Winchester, formerly of Medford, her sister Angela Barry of Winchester, her sister Caitlin Cabral and husband Brandon Cabral of New Bedford, Matthew Arellano and wife Evonne Arellano of Bridgewater and her brother Jeremy Bonin of Wareham. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Lauren graduated from Medford High School in 2007. After high school she took a course in hairdressing. She was a gifted hairdresser and enjoyed helping people look fabulous. As years went on, she found a passion for people. She became a home health aide and it was in this role that she truly shined. She was compassionate and heartfelt. Many of her clients carried on friendships with Lauren well after her services were needed. She was the person who would stop at nothing to make someone happy.

While she took joy in her work, her true purpose in life was found in being a mother. Though she only had a short time with her daughter Skyla, she made sure her time with her was nothing short of perfect. She welcomed her son Christopher two years after the loss of Skyla and he was the light of her life. Some favorite past times of Lauren and Christopher’s were sitting in the car and listening to music, counting the planes as they landed and having ice cream cones for dessert. They shared an unbreakable bond.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, November 4th from 2-4pm followed by a prayer service at 4pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
