Joseph H. “Joe“ Cassidy entered eternal rest on October 31st, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Joe was born in Boston, a beloved son of the late Herbert J. Cassidy and Anne J.
(Buckley) Cassidy.
He loved golf, football, and the beach.
Survived by his devoted, cherished wife Janet Cassidy. Loving father of Joseph H. Cassidy Jr. and his wife Emily of West Roxbury and Jillian Cassidy of Norwood. Proud grandfather of Alexus, Savannah, Isabelle, Olivia, Aiden, Grace, Patricia, and his great-grandson Aiden. Loving brother of Susan Touhey and her husband Glen of Franklin and the late Janis Quirk. Brother-in-law of Thomas Quirk of Dover. Also survived by loving nieces and his nephew.
Visitation at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 8:30-10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church, West Roxbury at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
