Brother of Edward, Robert, Walter, Larry and Linda Noone and the late Thomas and Kenneth Noone and Margie Murphy.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-8pm. Richard J. Noone, Sr., 71 years of Brockton, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by his wife, sons and family. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late T. Frank and Helen (Powers) Noone. He had been a lifelong resident of Brockton, was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1952, and Stonehill College, class of 1956. For the past twenty years he had been employed as a licensed Realtor for Middleton/Caldwell Bank Realtors in Brockton. Previously he had been employed by the Frank Noone Shoe Company. Richard was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Stonehill College Century Club, Knights of Columbus and a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins as well as all his grandchildren’s sports teams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Virginia (Doyle) Noone, three sons Richard J. Noone, Jr. Esq.and his wife Mary Ann (Driscoll), Francis D. Noone and his wife Martha (Walker) and Gregory P. Noone, Esq. and his wife Diana (Colombo), nine grandchildren Brighid, Maura, Richard III, Kevin, Brett, Ava, Eleanor, Virginia and Gregory, four brothers Edward, Robert, Walter and Larry Noone and one sister Linda Noone. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Thomas and Kenneth Noone and Margie Murphy.
