Peter J. Smith, a lifelong resident of Lynn, entered into eternal life suddenly at his home on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was 47 years of age.
Peter was born in Boston on April 20, 1976, a son of Linda A. (Nadeau) Smith and Robert A. Smith. He grew up in Lynn where he was educated in the Lynn Public School system and graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in the culinary arts program in 1993. Peter worked as a laborer for a fire suppression system installation company for several years. Peter enjoyed cooking in his spare time and was always known for his special dishes he prepared for family gatherings. He enjoyed camping and was an avid Boston Sports fan especially watching the Boston Celtics. Peter's greatest joy in his life was his daughter Hailey and then came his granddaughter Aryah whom he cherished and became her fulltime babysitter.
Peter is the devoted father of Hailey Joyce and father-in-law- of Richard Adie. He is the loving Papa to Aryah. He is the beloved son of Linda A. (Nadeau) Smith and Robert A. Smith. He is the devoted brother of Kenny Smith and David Smith and his wife Robyn. He is the loving uncle to Travis Smith. He is also survived by his daughter's mother Liz Woodbury and his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peter's visiting hours Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 12 Noon. His burial will be private.
