Worcester_ Jose Luis Rosario, Sr., 61, of Worcester, died Sunday, October 29, 2023, in St. Vincent Hospital after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Lisa (Avila) Rosario. He also leaves his children, sons, Jose L. Rosario, Jr., Joshua Rosario and daughter, Nina Rosario; eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Miguel Rosario and Marianna Vega. He is predeceased by his brother Miguel Rosario and sister Maria Victoria Leon.
Mr. Rosario was educated in New York and Worcester and received his Juris Doctorate from Western New England Law School. For many years he worked as an attorney in Worcester and in private practice. He served in the United States Army. During his college years, he was active in ROTC. Jose was a kind sensitive man who cared for his family and friends and was always willing to help.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 10 am. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.
