Thomas W. McSweeney, 85, of West Yarmouth, MA, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2023. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol (Barrett). Loving father of Maureen Vona and her husband Eric of Stoneham, Thomas M. McSweeney and his wife Karen of Hopedale, and Sharon McSweeney of West Yarmouth. Proud grandfather of Thomas Dillon McSweeney, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Agatha W. (Quinn) McSweeney and Myles T. McSweeney, brother of the late Myles, Paul, John and Richard McSweeney, and Virginia Dougherty.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, November 3rd from 4 through 7 PM and again on Saturday morning, November 4th at 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2254 Massachusetts Ave., North Cambridge at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
