Obituary

Jacqueline (Girard) Bourcier of Chepachet passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the age of 97. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Joseph Bourcier. Born in Providence, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosaria (Laprade) Girard.

Jackie's biggest joy in life was her family. She was the beloved mother of Jacqueline Albro, the late Marylou Jordan, Annette Bourcier and her extended family Laurie Langford. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren: Stephen Albro and his wife, Elizabeth, Annmarie Paul and her husband, William, David Albro and Monica Gagnon, Philip Jordan and his wife, Michelle and 7 great-grandchildren.

Jackie was a faithful communicant of St. Philip Church in Greenville and worked at the rectory for many years before retiring. After retiring she pursued many hobbies. She loved keeping busy gardening, sewing and quilting. She also crocheted and knitted hats for babies at Woman and Infants Hospital. Later in life she found a love for puzzle making and was nicknamed the "puzzle lady".
Jackie made friends so easily wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023 4-7pm.
