Florence (Hollander) (Fairbanks) Crowell 91, formerly of Halifax, died Saturday October 28 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Mervin K. Crowell.
Born and raised in New York, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Hollander and Cora Hollander-Whiting.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Florence had worked for over seventeen years as an inspector for Forecaster of Boston.
She is survived by her children June Beard, Theodore Fairbanks III, Diana Titus, Tina Tonello, Deborah Northrop, Jeannine Peterson, and Michael Fairbanks, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Doris Thomas.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday November 2 from 10:00-11:30 AM with a brief service at 11:30 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Halifax.
