Donald B. Banks, 98, of Dover, NH, a WW II veteran, who served in the U.S Army 82nd Airborne Division passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, in the Residence at Freeman Lake in Chelmsford, MA. He was born on May 16, 1925, in Lawrence Town, Nova Scotia, a son of Chester and Blanche (West) Banks. Beloved husband of the late Doris (Koenig Moulton).
Donald is survived by his children, Donald B. Banks, Jr. and his wife Gail of Dracut, MA; Brenda Land and her husband Howard of Trinity, TX; Ronald Banks and his wife June of Mesa, AZ, and is predeceased by his daughter, Sandra O’Leary.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Banks (the apple of his eye) of Dracut, MA, Seth Banks of Tacoma, WA, Tom Boland of Marblehead, MA, Amanda Boland of Dallas, TX, Scott Banks of Mesa, AZ; and is predeceased by his grandson, James Banks of AZ.
There will be no public services following cremation. A private family service will be held upon interment at the National Veteran’s Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
