Frances Louise Jones McBrayer, 84, of Tifton passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church with the Rev. Harvey Morgan, the Rev. Silas Carver, the Rev. Edsel Young and the Rev. John Sewell officiating. Mrs. McBrayer will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. McBrayer will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Ryan McBrayer, Shane McBrayer, Scott McBrayer, Larry McBrayer, Andy Gill and Mark Gill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the attendees of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church.
Born February 12, 1939, in Cook County, Mrs. McBrayer was the daughter of the late Charlie Jones and Rosie Harralson Jones. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Hampton; two brothers, William Jones and Robert Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Audrey Hand. Before retiring, she was a nurse at Tift General Hospital and she was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist for many years.
Mrs. McBrayer is survived by her husband of 66 years, Troy McBrayer, of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Diane McBrayer of Tifton; one daughter, Angela Joye Hall of Tifton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan McBrayer, Shane and Jenna McBrayer, Rebecca and Aaron Bock, Danielle and Caleb Dalton, Ashley and Cory Hand and Joshua and Georgia Hampton; and four great-grandchildren, Grayson Hand, Abby-Jade McBrayer, James McBrayer and Troy Hampton.
