Jean Andre Mentor passed away on October 21, 2023. He was 82 years old.
Jean was born on April 11, 1941 in General Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and was married to Marie Maude (Blanc) Mentor. He is survived by his children Jean Seguin Mentor, Jules Andre Mentor, Nirva Mentor, Marie Nahomie Mentor, Jean Rousseau Mentor, Junior Andre Fredo Mentor, Marie Maudeline Mentor, Helene M. Mentor and Rachelle Mentor. Jean was the grandfather of Ritchi S. Mentor, Anaelle Mentor, Brithney S. Mentor, Cavicci Mentor, Herley Mentor, Nora Elizabeth Mentor, Ednerline Jean Pierre, Herlanda Pierre Moise, Kenny St Vil, Heyden and Ansley Brutus. He was the brother of
Wilfrid Mentor, Sergo Mentor, Marie Immacula Mentor, Elly Dupiche, Ydelia Pierre, Daniel Pierre, Kerline Mentor, Smith Mentor, Yrma Mentor, Lynne Mentor, Marie Carmelle Mentor and Tores Mentor. Jean also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins: Denise Mentor, Danise Mentor, Abed Mentor, Samuel Mentor, Yrlande Martyr, Colson Mentor, Widnie Mentor, Samuel Enayo, Edline Enayo, Adler Honore, Dahessa Honore, Tigot Mentor, Erick Mentor, Ismael Mentor, Marie Ernest Mentor, Edline Mentor, Esther Orelien, Maxeau Pierre, Stacy Pierre, Gaurethie Pierre and Darlens Pierre.
A service will be held at the Evangelical Haitian Church, 400 High Street, Medford on Saturday, November 4th at 10am. A visiting hour will be held at the church from 9-10am prior to the service. Additional visiting hours will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, November 3rd from 6-8 pm. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
