Rosemary Adam, 78, of Smithfield, formerly of Manville, died on Thursday October 26, 2023 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the loving wife of the late Eugene Leo Adam. Rosemary and Eugene were married on October 26, 1963 in Putnam, CT. They shared over 46 years together until his passing in January of 2010. Rosemary passed away on what would have been their 60th wedding anniversary.
Born in June 22, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Willian and Mary (Mahan) Longtin. She spent her early years in Blackstone. Rosemary resided on Division Street in Manville for many years and had lived in Smithfield for the past 30 years.
Rosemary was a dedicated homemaker. Her home and family were the center of her life.
Rosemary is survived by her two daughters Lisa Ladouceur-Tellier and her husband Mark Tellier of North Smithfield and Diane Geisel and her husband Frederick Geisel of Smithfield. She was the proud grandmother of Janessa and Brandyn Ladouceur and Richard Sparfven and loving great-grandmother Jahzayla, Jayvon, Domani and Amira. She was the sister of the late Annette Frederickson and is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Rosemary is also survived by her close companion and caregiver for the past several years Mark Meenan of Smithfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor, remember and pray for Rosemary at her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday October 31st at 10:00 am in St. James Church Division St. Manville. Rosemary will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the family lot at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island at www.osdri.org an organization providing services for veterans in need.
