Raimundo Rosario Silva (97) of Brockton died October 24th in the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth. He was the husband of the late Guilhermina (Andrade) Silva.
He was born in Chao De Monte, Fogo, Cabo Verde son of the late Josephino Lopes Cabral and Maria Rosario Silva. Raimundo was an entertainer back in his home country of Cabo Verde and also worked for a Glass Company here in the United States. He was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed playing cards, the drums, mancala and loved to watch Benfica.
Raimundo is survived by 12 children, Aguinaldo DaSilva, Manuel Miranda, Marcelino Miranda and wife Astrides, Maria Fernandes and husband Manuel, Margarida Andrade Rosario Silva and husband Luis Filipe, Joao Andrade Do Rosario and wife Alina, Maria Rosario Silva, Caetano Andrade Silva and wife Delisa, Ana Nicole Rosario Silva, Antonio Rosario Silva, Maria Jesus Silva and husband Cai and Jose Carlos Andrade Silva and wife Beliza, 4 sisters, Adelina (LiLi) Rosario DaSilva, Viola Howard, Pauline Singleton and Norma Nunes, 41 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Monday October 30th from 6-8 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home Tuesday Morning October 31st at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, 163 N Cary Street Brockton.
