SANBORNTON ---- Ann Harding Ayer, 91, of Sanbornton, NH passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late Frank C. Ayer, her devoted husband of 67 years.
Ann was raised in Westbrook, Maine with her brother David. After graduating from Westbrook High School, she attended Forsyth Dental School and graduated in 1953 as a dental hygienist. Ann went on to work in her profession for 37 years, first in California, then Connecticut, and finally in Massachusetts.
Ann was a loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed by her children, Peter and Michelle Ayer of Wilmington, MA, Thomas Ayer and his late wife Karen of Burlington, MA, Bruce Ayer and his wife Robbin of Reading, MA, and Susan Ayer and Jim Wrobel of Sanbornton, NH. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Frank and Jess, Jonathan and Meghan, Thomas and Ashley, Timothy and Angeline, Kenneth and the late Daniel, Leah, Samuel, Kyle, Ethan, Raeanne, and Zachary. Ann also leaves great-grandchildren, Wesley, Elaina, Declan and David. In addition to her own family, Ann was a cherished member of the Mountain View Church in Sanbornton, NH where her fellow parishioners also considered her family.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ann on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 1:00pm, at the Mountain View Church, 322 Upper Bay Road, in Sanbornton, NH.
A Burial will take place on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 12:00pm, at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA 02420.
