In Boston, Arcenio B. Chaves. Age 54, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2023 in Boston Medical Center. Arcenio was the loving husband of Terry (Boucher) Chaves of Taunton for 15 years. He was born in the Azores in Santa Maria, the son of the late Manuel Chaves and Maria (Braga) Chaves.
Arcenio had been a resident of Taunton for the past 50 years. He attended Taunton schools and worked as a concrete finisher. Arcenio enjoyed riding motorcycles, going camping, was a dedicated worker who loved his job and above all cherished his time with family.
In addition to his wife Terry, Arcenio leaves his stepson David Engler of Taunton and grandchildren Aubreena and Harleigh Engler of Taunton. He also leaves his siblings; twin sister Teresa Dwyer of Taunton, Alfred Chaves of FL, Delzira Noun of FL, Antonio Chaves of Middleboro and Jose Chaves of Berkley. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday from 9:30-11 am. A funeral home service will be held at 11 am.
