Obituary

Marilyn M. (Wolff) Quigley, aged 97, entered into eternal rest on October 21, 2023. Predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel J. Quigley. Loving mother of Patrick (Maureen) of Lebanon, NH, Maureen Lindquist (Donald) of Medford, NJ, Cathleen Chizauskas (Alan) of Hanover, MA, Daniel (Catherine) of Atlanta, GA, Brian of Winchester, MA and the late Carol Lewis (Morgan). Adoring grandmother to Erik, Craig, Matthew, Amanda, Erin, Brendan, Marc, Danielle, Caitlin, Elizabeth, Jack, and Geoffrey. Beloved great-grandmother to Aidan, Addison, Mila, Harper, Rylan, Amelia and Olivia. Marilyn lived a long life filled with faith, family and friends. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she moved to San Francisco at age 21 where she met her future husband at a Navy dance. His career in the FBI would move her and their growing family around the country, finally settling in Winchester MA in 1971. Marilyn had a very strong faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Mary’s Parish and a longtime participant in weekly Adoration. Marilyn had a very active social life in her younger days. She was an avid tennis player and competitive bowler, displaying her many trophies in her home in New York. Her cocktail parties were epic, with her celebration of the Mets winning the World Series talked about for years. When she moved to Winchester, she quickly became involved working at The Card Shop, driving for Meals on Wheels, volunteering at the Jenks Center and for years running the monthly trips to Foxwoods. She was an avid sports fan with a particular love of the Red Sox, University of South Carolina Gamecocks and New England Patriots. Marilyn outlived all of her and her husband’s family members and most of her friends. She often lamented holding that honor, but her children were grateful for it.
