Carol D. (Camacho) Daigneault, 79 a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital. She was born on December 25, 1943 in Lowell and was a daughter of the late Joseph Camacho and the late Marietta A. (Desilets) Camacho. She was raised in Lowell, where she attended the area schools.
Carol retired from New Balance, and previously worked in the hospital cafeteria at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lowell General Hospital, and the Bedford VA Hospital. She also worked at Sunoco Paper in Lowell years ago.
She was the backbone of her family and was the person everyone went to when they needed something whether that was a laugh or a place to live. Her sense of humor was something that no one will forget. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, her animals, her friends, but mostly her family. There's nothing she wouldn't do for anyone of them.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Linda Daigneault; her sons, Paul Daigneault and Ricky Daigneault; her grandchildren, Renee, Steven, Kayla and Richie; and her great grandchildren, Vera, Derek, Bennett, and Travis. She is also survived by her siblings, Pat Hickey, Ronnie Camacho, Jimmy Camacho, and Bobby Camacho; and several nephews, nieces and many extended family members and friends including her good friend Claire Richards.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Joey Camacho; her son, Michael Daigneault; and her grandson, Derek Daigneault.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
