WORCESTER-David J. Williams, 76, of Worcester died unexpectedly Monday, October 16th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his son, Marc D. Williams and his wife, Amanda of West Boylston. His brother, Keith Williams and his wife, Annette of Raleigh, NC; and his long time best friend and cherished partner of over twenty years, Joyce Cariglia of Worcester as well as several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Jean.
He was born in Bristol, England and immigrated to the US in 1954. David is the son of Alfred and Doris (Saunders) Williams and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is a graduate of UMASS Amherst (class of 1974) with a bachelor degree of business administration. David pursued a career as a Certified Public Accountant for several local accounting firms including the renowned Marhefka and Jablonski. He later established his own firm which he enjoyed greatly. He will be remembered for his love of golf and his enjoyment of Heritage Country Club. David was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, fine arts and frequent trips to Maine and Florida. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
His visitation will be held on Friday, October 27th from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a memorial service at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
