Michael R. Fiscale of Saugus, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19th. He was 87. Born in Naples, Italy, he was the cherished son of late Gabriel and Lucy (Palumbo) Fiscale.
Michael had a passion for cooking. He had a successful career as a chef at the Fantasia restaurant in Cambridge and the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. Michael was a devout Christian and was active in his congregation. He looked forward to his weekly Sunday services and volunteering in the food pantry. In his spare time Michael enjoyed watching his beloved New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs. He was known to never miss a game. When he was not cheering on the Yankees or the Cubs, he was spending time with his family.
Michael was the beloved husband of 54 years to Jeanette C. (DiStasio) Fiscale. He was the loving stepfather of Deborah G. Almeida, of Saugus. He was the caring grandfather of Jenna Marie Gagnon and her husband Michael of Haverhill, and the late Cheryl Grace Almeida. He was the loving great grandfather of David Joseph Michael Gagnon. He was the dear brother of Ralph Fiscale of Goffstown, NH, and the late Tina Fantasia and her surviving husband Anthony, of South Yarmouth, and the late Joseph Fiscale and his surviving wife Rosanna of Lincoln, and the proud owner of the late KC and Pumpkin his cats.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Michael’s family on Wednesday, October 25th from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 12 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Michael’s name to the Hospice house of one's choice or to the Cliftondale Congregational Church, 50 Essex St., Saugus, MA., 01906.
