Marie D. Robinson
Longtime Tewksbury Resident

TEWKSBURY: Marie Diane (Donnaruma) Robinson, age 85, a resident of Tewksbury for over 60 years, passed away in her home at Bayberry at Emerald Court in Tewksbury on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of William J. Robinson, Jr. who passed away on March 16, 2019.

Born in Somerville on May 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Guy M. Donnaruma and the late Phyllis (Fusco) Donnaruma.

Marie was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School.

In 1962, she and her late husband moved to Tewksbury where they raised their family.

Marie worked as an administrative assistant for several area businesses including the former Tewksbury Advertiser Newspaper.

She was a communicant of St. William’s Parish and an avid bingo player and volunteer at the Friday night bingo games sponsored by the St. William’s Church Men’s Club.

Marie was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center, where she enjoyed numerous activities and social events at the center. In addition, Marie enjoyed bowling as well as swimming at the Lowell YMCA and the former Northmeadow Tennis Club in Tewksbury.

Her family wishes to thank the staff and residents at Bayberry Assisted Living for the care and support they provided to Marie.

She is survived by three children, Lisa M. Curtis and her husband Richard, of Vero Beach, FL, William J. Robinson and his wife Nanci (Little), of North Reading and Kristine M. Sheedy and her husband Matthew, of Tewksbury: her grandchildren, Amanda Curtis, Jennifer Pantages and her husband Nick, Kristina Robinson, and Samuel Canelas: her great grandson, Aiden Zak. Marie was the sister of Joseph Donnaruma and his wife Lynne, of Medford, Pamela Donnaruma, of Malden, and the late Carol Barchard. She has many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours are Wednesday, November 8th, from 9-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by prayers to be offered in the funeral home and interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.

The Robinson family will be donating the floral tributes received to the Power of Flowers Project in honor of Marie.
