Obituary

Susan M. Felton, 67, of Franklin passed peacefully at home in the care of family on October 18, 2023.

Born in Boston she was the oldest daughter of the late William McCallum and Patricia (Cotter) McCallum of Boston.

Susan is survived by her loving husband William J. Felton of Franklin, daughters Meghan Felton of Franklin, Kerri Felton and husband Adam Morrison of Bellingham, son John Coffey and spouse Angela Lowery of Waltham, and sister Jeanne McCallum of Norwood. Affectionately known as Nini to her grandchildren Trevor Verdone, Dillon Morrison, and John Coffey Jr. She was sister to the late Joanne Coffey. Susan leaves behind many nieces, nephews and the greater Felton Family of which she has been a part of for 50 years.

Susan met her husband Wilbur, as she lovingly called him, at the A&P Supermarket as a teen. Together they started their family in Roslindale, later moving to Walpole to raise their three children, landing in Franklin in her later years to be closer to her grandchildren.

Susan was a natural caretaker who often opened her home to family and friends in need. There was always an open invitation especially during the holiday season. Though Susan loved sitting out in the sun and vacationing in York Beach Maine, she had a special affection for Christmas Eve, cooking up a storm, listening to music and taking a family photo in matching pajamas.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 4-7pm. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Trevor Project, PO Box 69232, West Hollywood, CA. 90069.

There will be a celebration of Susan’s life to be held in the spring of 2024.
