Thomas D. McNaught
Retired Siemens Company Logistics Manager


TEWKSBURY: Thomas Dennis McNaught, age 81, a resident of Tewksbury for 37 years, formerly of Cambridge and Stoughton, passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Jo-Ann M. (Mortelliti) McNaught, with whom he recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 29, 2023.

Born in Cambridge on November 25, 1941, he was the son of the late Alexander R. McNaught and the late Mary E. (Mallett) McNaught.

Tom was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Ringe Tech High School.

In 1958, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his active-duty service.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a logistics manager by the Siemens Company in North Reading, where he worked for many years.

He was a member of several area organizations including the Tewksbury Senior Center, where he enjoyed playing cards and the Tewksbury American Legion Post.

During his retirement years, Tom and his wife traveled, and especially enjoyed taking cruises to the Caribbean.

In addition to his wife Jo-Ann, he is survived by four children, Nancy A. Bourget and her husband Arthur, of Salado, TX, Thomas D. McNaught, Jr. and his wife Penny, of Columbia, SC, Brian J. McNaught and his wife Christine, of Tewksbury, and Laurie A. McCahill and her husband John, of Franklin: eight grandchildren, Erin Jamieson, Brian J. McNaught, Jr., Sophie Ortega-Torres, Collin McNaught, Dean Bourget, Maryann, Shelby and Jack McCahill: two great grandchildren, Lucy and Arthur Jamieson. Tom was the brother of Paul C. McNaught and his late wife Ruby, of Tewksbury, Alexander R. McNaught, of Boston, Kathleen S. Patton and her late husband Richard, of Bourne, Jeanne Lamphier and her late husband Robert, of Nashua, NH, Sandra M. Occhino and her husband John, of Belmont, Donald J. McNaught, of Tewksbury, Robert L. McNaught and his late wife Maria, of Merrimack, NH, and Stephen McNaught and his wife Jean, of Weymouth. He leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Calling hours are Sunday, October 22nd from 2-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Monday, October 23rd, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
