Obituary

David Lee Snow, 75, of Bedford, VA went home to the Lord on Wednesday, October 18th, surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with cancer. David was a kind and gentle soul who loved life, and was always able to elicit laughter or a smile from anyone he met. He loved to joke and play pranks. He never hesitated to help another in need.

Born in Charlton, MA, he was the son of Walter R. Snow and Florence (Barnes) Snow. He was the youngest of 12 children. He leaves his brother, Warren E. Snow, Sr. and his wife, Theresa of Leicester, MA, who he treasured. He had a special and loving relationship with his niece, Tina M. Schwartz who he adored, and her husband, Robert of Leicester, MA, with whom he lived with for the last month. His niece was his fiercest advocate who provided him with much care and love. David was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, Gordon, Roger, Donald, and Clifford Snow; his sisters, Eunice Proulx, Doris Lovett, Barbara Kalagher, Patricia King, and Virginia Talbot. He also leaves many other nephews and nieces. He also leaves several close friends who were like family to him, as well as his beloved fur baby Chiquita a/k/a “Little Boo”.

David worked for many years as a final product trimmer, inspector, and frame repairer at Sam Moore Furniture Company, retiring in 2020. Before moving to Virginia, he worked for many years at Flexcon, Spencer, MA. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, collecting antiques and visiting with friends and family. He will be missed beyond measure by those who loved him. The family would like to thank the staff at Centra Hospice and Compassus Hospice, especially Tracy, Lisa and Kristina for their compassionate care and support during David’s transition to final peace.

There are no calling hours. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in West Ridge Cemetery, Charlton, MA. A celebration of David’s life will be held in Bedford, Virginia at a later date. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
