AUBURN – Alberta I. (Harrington) Granat, 91, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Blaire House of Milford. Her husband of 46 years, Rudolph C. Granat, died in 1997.
She leaves a daughter, Linda G. Bazinet and her husband Larry and a son, Wayne A. Granat, all of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Marie Johnson, Shirley Ward, Dorothy Wolanski and Rose Tatro.
She was born on March 28, 1932 in Auburn, daughter of Arthur and Marie (Wheeler) Harrington and was a lifelong resident before moving to Blaire House in 2021. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1950
Mrs. Granat was a homemaker. The family went camping in Colebrook, NH for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Granat belonged to the Circle C. Square Dance Club in Grafton years ago.
A graveside service will be held privately at Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to either the ASPCA, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 0l606. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
