In Taunton, October 15, 2023 Herbert W. “Skip” Shoemaker son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (O’Neil) Shoemaker died at Morton Hospital at the age of 70. Herbert was born in Newport, RI. He was a retired union truck driver local 653 for the former Fernandes Supermarkets and Roadstone trucking in Raynham. He owned and operated his limousine company called Skip Around and after that his other company called Attleboro Tile. He was a member of the Bold Ones motorcycle club and he built and raced cars at Seekonk Speedway where he used to say “DRIVE LIKE HELL”. He was the father of Adam Shoemaker and his wife Veronica of North Port, FL and Casey Monroe Shoemaker of Dighton. Grandfather of Liam and Brody Shoemaker both of North Port, FL. Brother of Scott Shoemaker of Fl and Dottie King of Natick. A celebration of life will be held at the Stone Forge Tavern, 90 Paramount Drive, Raynham from 2-4 PM on Saturday October 21st.
